Hi there loves,
How are you doing during these days? I know we can feel scared because of the known and the unknown. Even though I try to not get to deep into all of this, I wanted to share some ideas that you can incorporate during the days that you are home or you don’t know what to do.
I wanted to share these with you in order to maybe take your attention away for a bit. I am aware that some people will have to continue to work such as doctors, police officers and many others. To them a thank you from the bottom of my heart. To their family remain strong and pray for your loved ones. We will surpass this.
To you reading, let’s get to the post.
Because I have a lot of free time during these days, I did some of these and they helped me feel a bit more calm. Because I shifted my concentration to something else it helped me quite a bit.
- Take time to breath
In times like these we can feel more stressed and it can also make you feel uncomfortable. Take time during the day to take a breather, I know sounds simple however, we tend to get busy with everything around us that sometimes we can forget to breath. This will help you feel more calm and relaxed. There are plenty of techniques you can use for this but in my case I simply take 3 deep breaths every time I feel to anxious or I just need to calm down. Take your time, take your breather and than continue.
- Take time to do nothing / Reflect
Like I mentioned above we tend to make ourselves busy in order to distract ourselves but this can make us more anxious. This is why I recommend you to try and not to get to deep into news and social media because seeing about the virus constantly can make you even more anxious and nervous. That’s why take time out of your day sit, walk or simply lay down and do nothing. You will notice that many thoughts are going to show up but try and not to engage with those thoughts, take your time to really have blank mind. At the end you will feel much better.
Write your feelings, thoughts or simply write. You will get your thoughts out of your head and paper. You can later re-visit these and read them. Maybe you could make something out of this. Hopefully we will understand why we where going through all of this. That is why I ask you to be kind to people during these times.
- Prepare your favorite dish
Normally we don’t have time to do things we love especially cooking. Now you have the time to prepare and cook your favorite dish. Additionally, you can even learn how to make something new. I find this so fun and educationally because you learn about food and you try new things.
- Work on a project you haven’t have the time for
In my case I had a to do list on things I always wanted to try, wanted to learn or projects I wanted to make a reality but I never really had the time to do that. Maybe you also have things you wanted to work on but never really had the time to. Some ideas are writing a book, organizing your kitchen/pantry, read a book, learn a new language, work on a business-plan, take an online class, re-organize your room, de-clutter and a lot more.
- Support you fellow friends by reading or watching their content
Lastly, I wanted to share and encourage you an idea to support your friends. As a content creator myself, (A blogger, I consider that) and there are many many more on the internet could use your help during these times. Maybe you normally don’t have time to read a blog for example now you can take time and support us bloggers. If you have friends doing these you can help by putting your input.
Thank you so much for reading. If you have reached here, THANK YOU. Your support means the world. I will try and continue to write during these days and trying to bring more uplifting content to distract you a little bit.
Stay Safe Loves!
Have a great, blessed and positive day everyone!
