Positivism Monday #4 // May

Hi there love,

Happy Monday!

&

Thank you May

Today is actually the last day of Positivism Monday for the month of May and for now. I would like to thank all of you that simple read my post and thank you for your feedback. I truly enjoyed creating these posts for this last month, I would like to know if you would be interested on seeing more of Positivism Monday in July? I’m actually taking a break in the month of June when it comes to posting on Monday’s. I find it more inspiring when I take a break from the same posting schedule and by changing it up it also helps me with creativity. Please share your opinion with me when it comes to the Positivism Monday’s posts.

For this last post I choose the topic Simple Living! Something I have been working on since mid 2017 up to now. And for me the end goal is to live simply by combining all the previous positivism Monday posts during may. Living simple may mean something different for everybody so that is why I want to share my thoughts on this topic with you. Don’t forget to share yours!

Last Week’s Recap

Last week’s topic was all about happinessLast week my choice making was the main focus where I only choose things to do that made me happy inside. I’m not saying I was happy everyday & for the whole day but I did feel happiness and that was the most important thing. Happiness is something I’m still working on because life happens everyday but how we decide to perceive this is how it will affect us. I actually started reading a book in order to learn more to be able to be happier. The book I stared is “The four agreements”, it’s been said to have helped people live happier and simpler so I decided to give it a go. I will write a post later on depending on how I finish the book.

Today I will be writing about living simple. What are your thoughts on simple living? Do you think it could positively affect you?

What is Simple Living?

For me simple living means living with what we need, with what makes up happy, with what makes us feel good & being grateful for everything we have in life, good and bad. This is one of my primary goals to live simple and this is one of the reasons my blog is called Simply Rachel May. Living with less was one of the main things that changed my focus to simple living. Before this having material things was the way to live, the more I could buy the better. Now it’s more about being grateful to be able to have things in life, focusing on choosing what is really needed above what is just wanted. Sometimes we will want things that maybe we can’t have at that moment however, if it’s not in our lives for me it means it’s not meant to be mine yet or it’s not meant for me at all however the most important thing is not to beat yourself up for things. By choosing to live simple I have accomplish many other things but I’m still learning though. I still buy or bring things or people in my life that are not good but take it as a lesson, in order to grow we need to make mistakes. Simple living does not equal immediate happiness but in the long term it can help us understand things better and eventually leading to true happiness.

What are your thoughts on simple living? Do you agree with me or do you have different thoughts? Please share your thoughts and let’s learn more together.

This is Positivism Monday Quote #4

The quote I choose for today is about finding beauty in the simple things and living happy. Life can be hard at times but by staying focus and living simply we can find beautiful things along the way. We can learn to see things differently and perceive life as a beautiful journey. Life can be hard sometimes but life can be even more beautiful if we can create the right mindset. By simplifying your life you will have more space to change your thoughts and find the beautiful part of life.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post. The last one! I just can’t believe it, how fast this month has flew by. Thank you once again for all your support. I am truly thankful. Share your thoughts with me about simple living or anything you would like to talk about. I hope you have an amazing week ahead fill with beautiful and happy things.

Thank you!
