Positivism Monday #3 // May

Hi there love, 

Happy Monday! We are already on the third Monday of the month of May? Time is passing by way too fast. I hope your day is going well and I hope you find something that makes you smile today. I love writing these positivism posts because I can write from my heart and don’t have to very precisely. I have always had a passion for writing and with this blog I can write about everything I find interesting and fun. The last week has been a roller coaster ride for me with the emotions but I was able to change these and create this happiness post for you. I hope you enjoy and find something out of this blog-post.

Last Week’s Recap

Last week’s topic was all about being a girlboss. It has been quite a week, I have challenged myself to the max with being the girlboss when it comes to my work life but I was lost and confused. I didn’t want to take decisions out of the blue however it made me realize a lot and I’m already doing research on these topics. This is when I realized to be a girlboss of your own life is to learn to understand yourself, work towards things that make you happy and simply do things at your own phase and time. I’m working towards some challenges and I hope that with my positivity and learning I will be able to exceed these and create great work. What do you do to be your own girlboss?

Changing to today’s theme is Happiness. Reaching the end of Positivism Monday I thought I could write about Happiness, something we all want to feel but it may be hard sometimes to reach and feel.

What is Happiness?

A question that can have thousands of meanings because it may mean something different for everyone. A state of being happy, is it really easy or difficult to reach? For me it’s easy to reach as long as your perspective on the word happiness remains simple. Someone may think if I get my dream house I will be happy for me being able to spend time and laugh with the people I love makes me happy. Of course if I reach my goals in life I would be happy however I try not to limit myself to feel happiness everyday with the simple things. Don’t get me wrong, some days happiness seems such a far away feeling, such a hard to reach feeling but that will not stop me from trying. Having three different illnesses and suffering from anxiety will not be an excuse to me to not be happy, it’s the reason why I try to gain a little happiness everyday possible. We all find different ways to be happy so I’m going to share some things I do to gain a little happiness when I’m feeling down or I just want to do something simple for myself.

The simple things that create the state of Happiness for me are:

Journal: It’s something I do to calm down and put all my thoughts on paper. Once my mind is clear I’m able to think a little bit more positive leading me closer to feeling happy. Even if this is the only thing I do, it helps me to be happy.

Watching a movie: Sometimes I get caught up with work that I feel way to stressed and unhappy so I put on Netflix, grab something to eat and drink and watch my movie. It helps me feel happy because you are in another world for a while and you are able to forget about everything and get a laugh.

Listen to music: Music can make you happy by simply listening to the lyrics and singing along or dance. This is the number one thing that improves my mood!

Spending time with loved ones: Like I mentioned above, by spending time with my friend and family I’m able to create memories and happiness. These memories are able to stay forever in my heart that every I think about these I’m able to feel that little spark of happiness in my heart.

Working for this blog: Believe it or not I enjoy writing and searching for things to write about for my blog. I enjoy every part of it. I’m very happy to be able to share things with you and with the hope to inspire you!

Taking photos: This is very therapeutic for me because it makes me search for the beauty and simplicity in everything. And being able to find these makes me happy because it makes me realize there is beauty in everything!

This meaning of happiness shows exactly how I feel about happiness. The main thing when it comes to happiness is simplicity. I know there is much more I can write about when it comes to happiness but I will keep it simple and short today. How do you feel about happiness? Do you agree with me or do you think differently?
