Positivism Monday #2 // May

Hi there love,

Happy Monday! I hope you are starting your day with some positive thoughts and if not I hope that during the day you can shift these thoughts to more positive ones. My goal with these posts are to inspire you or to at least try my best to motivate you. Sometimes I put myself on the other side and really think what I would want someone else to say to me and I create these posts.

Last Week’s Recap

Last week’s topic was encouragement and during the week I have used this many times to encourage myself to do things out of my comfort zone and let me tell you I am so proud. One specific moment I remember is a phone call. I know many of you would think really? A phone call? But yes, I have high anxiety when it comes to speak or communicate with other people on the phone. Last week I had a missed call on my phone and it took me a whole day to call back. What actually encourage me was last week’s blog-post, I told myself that I had to concur this fear and simply call back. I continue to encourage myself with self motivation until I grabbed the phone and return the call and it went great. What did you do to encourage yourself? Last Positivism Monday Post

Today’s theme is #GirlBoss

This is the second week of my May Positivism Monday and the word for this week is GirlBoss.

What does GirlBoss mean?

GirlBoss

BossBabes

BossLady

Three words that have similar meanings to me.

GirlBoss // BossBabe // BossLady

“An ambitious young woman, driven to succeed in her career or Business”.

Definition found online, writer unknown.

“A girl building her empire”

Definition found online, writer unknown.

“A woman in control, taking charge of her own circumstances in work & life. Someone who knows her worth and won’t accept anything less. She is not a “mean girl” in fact, she hates “mean girls.” She is empowering and inspiring to those around her. She kicks ass!
A girlboss knows that if you don’t have big dreams and goals, that you’ll end up working really hard for someone who does.”

But what does GirlBoss really mean to me?

A girlboss, a word used among many woman or young ladies. But what is the meaning behind it? I have read into this and many people commented that Sophia Amoruso got this word more out there, people started to use it more. However, the real meaning of a girlboss to me is when a girl/ young woman/ older ladies are working hard on the life they desire. It could be finishing school, opening a new business, choosing a career path leading up to living their best lives. This can be different for many people but a girlboss takes charge of her life. It entails working hard, choosing what is best for yourself, asking for help when needed, learning more and more each day, sharing knowledge and following dreams and goals. Such a small word with so many meanings different for each and everyone but has to do with working hard and reaching goals. Who doesn’t want to reach their goals? I’m going to be honest, some days are going to be hard, you will want to give up but by simply persisting and continuing makes you the girlboss of your own life.

This is my interpretation of the word Girlboss. What does GirlBoss mean to you? Do you agree with me or you think differently? Let’s share our thoughts!

Since GirlBoss is such a broad word to me I have three quotes for you today!

  • “Actually I can” – Writer Unknown to me.

Yes you can! Whatever you want to reach or going through, it will get better and you CAN do it. Every time you start doubting yourself, close your eyes, take a deep breath and tell yourself “Actually I Can!”.

  • “Be the girl who just went for it” – Writer Unknown to me.

When you have doubts, fears and feels scared, choose to go for it. This is something I struggle a lot with. When I’m particularly scared I don’t go for it, I get stuck and forget about it. But we have the opportunity to grow when we make the decision to go for it! So this week I will say opportunities that seems scary, this month I will work on this. I will say yes to scary opportunities! Not only scary ones, the ones that make me feel exited and the ones feel that could benefit me. This is to allow myself to continue to grow and be the girlboss of my own life.

  • Focus on bettering yourself, the rest will follow – Writer Unknown to me.

Many times we forget to take care ourselves. We loose ourselves while we are working hard. Remember to take good care of your body, educate yourself, follow people that encourage and motivate you and another important step is to take care of your mental health as well. Don’t do or follow what everyone else is doing if they don’t work for you. If meditating is not for you, don’t force it!Search what works for you. Always focus on bettering yourself, your self being.

This is Positivism Monday Quote #2

The main quote of this week is about believing in yourself to become the GirlBoss of your own life. Maybe you don’t want to be a girlboss you simply want to live a happy life. The real secret as Charlie Chaplin said is to believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself, in your plans, in your goals and in your life, who else will believe? This is a simple task we have but it takes courage and motivation to do. So don’t forget to believe in yourself today!

Are you a girlboss? Do you want to become a girlboss? What are you doing to become the girlboss of your dreams?

I hope you enjoyed today’s positivism Monday post. I would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts with me on these posts and I hope you have an amazing & positive week.

Have a great, blessed and positive week everyone!
