How I work on getting back on Track

Hi there love,

It has been a while since I have write something or posted a blog-post. Like I have mentioned before when I’m not inspired, I don’t like to write or share blog-posts because I feel that they are not good enough nor inspirational. In my opinion, what we share or create displays our own emotions and our own self. I have been struggling to get back to writing because I had no idea what to share. While I was in the process of figuring this out in order to continue what I really love doing which is writing, the idea hit me. I’m going to share how I go from feeling lazy, low on inspiration and not really wanting to do a thing to getting my schedule back together.

I did not notice these things before sitting down and really trying to find out why I was not able to write. I felt blocked, everything I started I just couldn’t finish. After doing some of the next things I can say I’m feeling better and things are flowing better than before.

Journal

Before I realized I was blocked mentally I decided to journal. Since I had no idea what was going on, I was searching for a way to figure my thoughts out. To Journal is something therapeutic and was proven to help people figure things out. I’m not a person who likes to share my thoughts with other people that easily, so I found the idea of Journaling the best option for me.

After my first Journal session I had so many things off my thoughts and shoulder that I felt that I was slowly understanding what was happening. There where some things happening in my life that were bothering me. And this was blocking me from continuing on with the more fun stuff in my life. On top of this I was trying to hide them away, so it created a block in my mind where nothing was coming out right.

By trying to Journal more often I realized this was helping me a ton with inspiration. So any time I feel un-inspired I grab my journal and start writing everything that comes to mind. Later on I re-read this and try to figure out what is happening. I’m not going into details how I journal because everyone does this differently. Maybe you like to journal with a structure or maybe you just grab a pen and paper and start witting. This depends on your own preferences. You can find many fun and informative videos on YouTube. My favorites are from Lavendaire. She is really awesome and helped me as well with her videos.

*Keep in mind I don’t Journal everyday however, when I do it truly helps.

Take a me-day // Pamper yourself

In this century who doesn’t need a me day, an “off day” where you can do things you love or nothing at all. We are living in a world where you have to be perfect. You have to have a 9am to 5pm job, you have to earn good money, you have to follow a routine, you have to read books, you have to meditate, you have to work out, you have to volunteer, you have to be part of projects and so on. I can write a super long list but you get me right? We are so busy creating a ‘perfect’ lifestyle that we sometime forget about our self. What really makes me wind down? Is it really meditating or watching netflix? The important part of this is that we have to listen to our self and do what makes us happy. For me a pamper day is being able to put on a face mask, watch some YouTube videos, fix my brows and nails, create a plan for the day/week and simply sleeping. Sometimes I also love to go to the beach, sit and reflect, maybe read a book or simply meditate and keep the mind blank. I don’t go to spa’s or do fancy things because I don’t feel like that will help me. We all have our different ways.

Make sure you incorporate a pamper yourself day during your busy times. It will help you wind down in order to continue and work more effectively.

Shopping // Some retail therapy

I know! I write about minimalism and now I encourage you to go shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying go shopping and spend your whole paycheck. Sometimes I feel stuck and going shopping with my mom helps me a lot. We go to my favorite places and I look for basic pieces I can incorporate in my closet, maybe some accessories or something simple I’m missing at that moment. After our shopping trip we like to go somewhere we can drink or eat something before heading back home. I spend time with her and we get to shop together. This helps me de-stress and on the bright side I have something new to wear when I have to get my things together and go out.

Go out with friends // Hang out with positive people

Our environment can also help our mood. Surrendering our selves with our loved ones, friends and positive people can help us feel happy and positive too. I love going out with my friends. Sometimes we go to the movies other times we go to restaurants, etc. The important part is that you are having fun. My best friends are one of my biggest support system and hanging out with them just makes me happy. And my Family! Well they are my AMAZING supporters. They are always encouraging me and helping me during the hard times.

Planning // Get back on track   

We got to the last step here. I don’t do all of these things in this exact order however this step is the last one I do in order to get myself together. If you have been reading my blog for a long time you may know that I LOVE planning. Planning lowers my stress and anxiety levels which helps me alot when it comes to harder situations. I grab my trusty notebook which I use to write To-Do’s Lists, Ideas and much more. It’s basically where I keep my thoughts. I always have this notebook with me wherever I go.

I also have my planner where I write everything that has to be done, everything that has happened and sometimes even what I felt. This helps me track what bothers me & what I feel to eventually help me find answers and things I can do to feel better. At this point is also where I like to get inspired. I go on YouTube, Instagram and Pinterest to find some planning inspiration and also reflect on my dreams & goals. It feels as if you are starting fresh and this helps me a lot.

After doing one or maybe all of these things I feel like I’m ready. Remeber not in all of the situations It will come out successfully. Sometimes it does take longer. But the important thing to remember is to continue to try & believe in yourself! Believe that the beautiful day you are picturing is going to come true. And always but ALWAYS do what makes YOU happy.
