Hi there love,
Wishing you a happy Friday and an awesome weekend ahead. Can you believe it’s almost Christmas? I still can’t believe it! With the phase it’s going ,soon it will be 2019 already. On the other hand today I’m going to share a more simple blogpost with you. The title may say a lot already: “Keeping it simple this Christmas”.
During the holidays we are always stressing out to buy gifts, decorate our home, make sure everything is prefect for the special day. But this year I took a step back and really put some though into this. Why do we want to be perfect for Christmas? A day that will last 24 hours, a visit that lasts a couple of hours and people visiting just once a year. It’s a special day I won’t deny it, however don’t harm you emotional and personal health this year to be perfect. Make sure you do what makes you happy and if making everything perfect is your things do it! Remember I’m sharing this based on my experience.
What I want to share with you this year is to take it easy, try not to stress too much and do what makes you happy.
What I did personally this year, was looking at Christmas Day differently. A special day that Jesus was born, a day to be with the family and a day to be happy. Yes HAPPY you read that right! I hope this year you have at least one reason to be Happy.
This year I’m happy because while fighting for my health and dealing with three different types of sicknesses which I was blessed to able to be diagnosed on time, I’m able to function almost normally and I’m alive.
That is why I’m keeping Christmas Day simple this year. Of course I put in effort to clean, to organize and to make everything look pretty around the house but when something didn’t work out like I planned or wanted I took a breather and let it go. Believe me it makes such a difference compared to stressing out because of it. And the most awesome thing is that in the end it did come together beautifully.
Another thing that we can get carried away with is presents. We stress to find the perfect gift for our loved ones but this year make sure you share a smile, a hug and most important share your time with your loved one. This is definitely on my TO DO list on this Christmas Day. Believe me they will appreciate this a lot. I’m not saying don’t buy the gifts because let’s be honest, everyone likes gifts, just gift them your time as well.
Remember to take it easy in such a wonderful but hectic world.
I hope you liked today’s blog-mas post, I tried to keep it short and simple. Also a bit different. Let me know what you think!
Trying to better myself everyday by learning to be happy right now. Trying not to find happiness in material things, trying to find happiness in the simple things. I wanted to thank you as well this year for reading and supporting my blog. I write in hope to help at least someone with each post, so I hope I helped you in any way possible.
Thank you for reading and sending many many happiness your way.
Have a great, blessed and positive holidays everyone!
